Anthony's Story

Anthony grew up on the West Side of Chicago as an only child. An array of bad choices led him down the wrong path.  Anthony was in jail by the age of 19 and sentenced to a term of 60 years all before the age of 23. This is only part of where his story begins.

Facing 30 consecutive years of imprisonment, Anthony used his pen and paper as therapy to heal the wounds of his past. As a humble student of the human condition, he became a Peer Presenter and always maintained a positive attitude despite the fact of where he was.

Anthony's poems take you inside the prison journey of a young man on the road toward his manhood and desperately chasing redemption. 

A creative force, Anthony is a fitness enthusiast, an innovator, an aspiring motivational speaker, and a person with strong entrepreneurial drive.

Anthony is currently working on, "Sikaliza: A Visual Diary", which will be his second book of poetry. He makes the most of every single day by staying active, keeping a forward thinking attitude and he's always smiling and dancing
